Advent begins on the fourth Sunday before Christmas and runs until December 24. Depending on the year, that Sunday can fall between November 27 and December 3. Early start? More time to breathe, pray, and prepare!
Planning ahead helps you:
Each ornament and Scripture plants salvation history in little hearts, building anticipation for Jesus.
Advent isn’t about perfection—it’s about preparing your heart candle by candle, week by week.
“You learn to wait — not as resignation, but as deep trust in God’s timing.” — St. Teresa of Calcutta
💜 Advent is coming. Let’s wait together in joyful hope.
Yes and no—the Jesse Tree isn’t a typical Advent calendar with treats or doors, but it does mark the days to Christmas through Scripture, symbols, and stories that prepare hearts for Christ.
Families can celebrate by waiting joyfully, reflecting on the Jesse Tree stories (Days 8–14), reading Scripture, lighting candles, praying, practicing kindness, and continuing the celebration through all 12 Days of Christmas to prepare hearts for Christ’s coming.
The Advent colors are purple for preparation and royalty, rose (pink) for joy on Gaudete Sunday, and white and gold for celebrating Christ’s purity, glory, and light.
